She began her career as a teacher of children with learning disabilities in Lee's Summit, MO. She decided to enter optometry school after finding few optometrists who did the Vision Therapy that she felt was needed to help her students. Dr. Bazin was also a clinical instructor at SUNY College of Optometry before going into private practice in the early 90s.
